Fibre
Our organic cotton is grown in India, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. The cotton is certified by Organic Cotton Standard which ensures that it has been grown solely in organic farms that take care of the soil, ecosystem and people by relying on biodiversity and local natural cycles.
Fabric
Our lighter weight hemp and organic cotton jersey, ideal for creating softly textured tops, tunics and trousers. The hemp gives the jersey a lovely drape, whilst the cotton adds weight and stability. The fabric is not sheer, even in pale colours. The fabric is piece dyed which means dyed after weaving or knitting the fabric, this creates a solid colouring throughout the fabric. After knitted into jersey fabric, cut and sewn, the garments are washed to give the fabric a softer handle as well as a more casual appearance. The fabric will continue to soften each time you wash it.
Factory
The yarn, fabric and garments are all made by our supplier based in Rushan, to the north of Shanghai. The garment factory is powered by solar panels and focuses on producing environmentally-friendly clothing using hemp. We are proud to have worked with this supplier and their team for more than ten years.
