Fibre
The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow, making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres. Our organic cotton is grown in India, solely on organic farms that take care of the soil, ecosystem and people by relying on biodiversity and local natural cycles. Organic cotton is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) from the organic fibre source to the spinning of the yarn. GOTS is the leading standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria and is backed by independent third-party certification. We are working on extending the certification to cover the entire textile supply chain.
Fabric
A Beautiful and soft combination of linen and cotton yarns knitted together. Yarns are dyed before creating the fabric which gives them solid even colouring. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
Our supplier is based in China, in a small factory that specialises in fine-gauge knitwear. We have been working closely with Jerry and his team since 2012.
