Fibre
Mohair is a luxurious natural fibre made from the hair of the Angora goat, not to be confused with angora fibre, which comes from rabbits. Our mohair and wool fibres are responsibly sourced from South Africa and are mulesing-free. To ensure the structural stability and durability of the yarn, especially the longer mohair fibres, polyamide is used. We aim to avoid synthetic fibres in our collections, but on this occasion, it is to make sure our garments last without compromising on the unique mohair texture.
Fabric
Our mohair and merino wool blend creates beautifully warm, cosy knitwear, with soft, lustrous mohair fibres gently rising from the surface to give the knit a distinctive, tactile texture. The fibres are 'top' dyed before being spun into yarn. This process results in beautiful melange colours and a softer hand feel. Each panel is knitted to the shape of the garment which therefore creates less wastage. Panels and trims are attached using a hand-linking machine, resulting in a premium, high-quality garment.
Factory
The garments are knitted in a small factory near Bangkok, Thailand. Established by our long-term partners and equipped with an in-house laundry, the factory specialises in garment finishing with an exceptional hand feel.
