The flax used to make our linen is grown in France, where the flax plant needs minimal water, energy, pesticides, and fertilisers to grow, making it one of the most naturally sustainable fibres.
Fabric
Our heavier weight woven linen fabric has a great drape and natural cooling properties. For this style, we use pigment dyes, which means that pigments are locked into the surface of the fabric with a binder, similar to traditional printing. This gives the garments a laundered, casual appearance. The colouring happens on finished garments which allows us to dye only the amounts and colours we know our customers like. The colour of pigment dyed garments may fade over time or release the colour when washing due to the unique nature of the dye. Our garments are pre-washed for a relaxed and laundered appearance.
Factory
We have been working with our partners based in China to develop this fabric all the way from the yarn to the finished product. We have been working with Cong and Sunny since 2014 and they have been specializing in linen textiles for generations. Their innovation and impeccable quality mean we can bring our ideas to life and develop special woven fabrics using all-natural fibres.
