Hattie West's Holiday Edit

This month we asked Hattie
West, successful fashion
blogger with a background
writing for Condé Nast
fashion and travel
publications, to outline
her suitcase essentials. Be
inspired by Hattie's relaxed
and fuss-free selection
from our High Summer
collection. Crafted with you
and your summer holidays
in mind using lightweight
fabrics to bring effortlessly
cool designs to life.

Constance Trousers >

With fashion playing a big
part of my job, having easy-to-
wear staples at the ready when
I'm away is key to giving that
corner of my mind time off too.
I'm all for separates that can
be easily reworked rather than
filling a suitcase with wear-
once pieces. The enduring
allure of a loose-fitting trouser,
especially somewhere hot
(cue sticky skin), will never
wane. You'll often find me
culotte-clad in the city, and
this featherweight fabric
immediately appealed to me.
The slouchier
the better.

Ana Shirt

Ana Shirt >

A white shirt is the backbone
to any wardrobe, home or
away. Whilst I love kaftans
and sarongs, a shirt is one
of my favourite beach cover-
ups too and this one works
particularly well being
slightly longer at the back.
The texture and sleeve detail
make it a lovely twist on a
classic.

Layla Jumpsuit >

I'm forever flying the flag for
jumpsuits. It's well-documented
on my blog that I often plump
for them for weddings and day-
to-day, and this particular one
is the kind of thing I'd wear out
for dinners abroad. The delicate
cami straps are a great detail and
keep it feminine. Whilst I'm not
generally governed by trends and
prefer to opt for great quality
wardrobe mainstays, there's no
denying the jumpsuit is having a
moment and has been for a while
- so maybe it's here to stay...

Pippa Sweater

Pippa Sweater >

One of the best things about
holiday dressing is giving
your usual city style the week
off. My inner boho awakens
at this time of year and
welcoming festival-inspired
tassels to the fold is definitely
something I'm on board with.
Plus I love a boxy fit. This
sweater is a great beach-to-
bar multi-tasking piece.

Crystal Top >

A pretty white top is a weakness
of mine - I always have another
one jostling for space at home.
This is a step up from my
regular white tees - another
wardrobe lynchpin of which
I am well-versed - and it was
the tie-sides that initially drew
me to it. So sweet with denim
shorts, styled up for the evening
or just thrown on at the beach.
